Celeste (Celestine) Monica DeMattos (nee Gomes) passed away peacefully on April 30th with Trevor by her side at Extendicare in Port Hope in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of the late Linus, dear mother of Basil (Kim), Trevor (Tita), Jackie and the late Steven (Marisa).
Proud and loving grandma of Deanne (Curtis White), Natasha (Jermaine Jacobs), Jonathan, Joshua (Ceilidh), Kevin (Robyn), Tanya (Tyler DeCoste), Samantha (Jacob Sawyer), Ashley (Michael Wiggelaar) and Alana.
Dear GG of Jordyn, Malia, Gianna, Isaiah, Eli, Khaleesi, Paris, Amaya and Emmett.
Mom was happiest when surrounded by her family, and we were happiest in her presence. She will be greatly missed.
There will be a funeral mass at St. Michael the Archangel Church 379 Division Street, Cobourg Ontario on Thursday May 5th, 2022 at 10am followed by a reception at MacCoubrey Funeral Home 30 King Street E, Cobourg Ontario.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stratford and all the wonderful staff at Port Hope Extendicare for their excellent care of Mom.

Dear DeMattos family. Although I did not know your mother personally I remember her sweet person vividly from my years living on Daintry Cres. And know how lovingly you cared for her. My condolences to you all.
