I had the great privilege of working with Art when he generously agreed to serve as co-chair (a second time) with me for Ontario Tech's President's Indigenous Reconciliation Task Force and our Indigenous Education Advisory Circle. I can still hear his voice from our phone calls -I miss those phone calls. He left an indelible mark and a big void. He is missed.

My sincerest condolences to the families and friends of Art. His contributions to the community will never be forgotten.
Art left behind many wonderful memories. I spent a lot of time with Art in our younger years, enjoying life to it's fullest. Art was so pleasant and easy to be around, he could belly laugh as good as the next. I remember him hosting a steak BBQ at John's cottage to raise money for the Church, and believe me, Art could cook!! So many memories, so many laughs..... you will be missed.
I often think of December 6, 1969 & hope you had a fulfilling life & we’re happy. RIP Anna
Rest peacefully my friend , thanks for all the wonderful memories, I will think of you always.
The world was a kinder, and certainly more interesting, place with Art in it. He had a big heart and will be missed.
Art was a valued contributor to and member of the Trent University family; as Chair of the Indigenous Education Council, President of the Trent Indigenous Alumni Chapter, mentor and alumnus. Our condolences are extended to family, friends and community on his passing.
I'm saddened to hear that Art has passed. I have many fond memories of being a little girl and spending my favorite child hood memories with Art and my Dad Paul Brown, fishing and spending time at the cottage, with Liz and John as a family, so many Christmases and memories I hold deap. It is nice to know that my dad has his best friend up with the angels.
Art was a champion for students and a major source of support to me when I was pursuing my education. He was a kind, encouraging, and big-hearted person who will be missed. Gchi-Miigwech to Art for his many years of service to our Indigenous communities. His legacy lives on through all of those people he helped to realize their dreams.
Sorry for your loss, I have known Art for many years. Such a great soul.
Today I decided to look up my old friend, Art Beaver, only to find that he had passed. I haven't seen him for more than 45 years but I never forgot his sense of humour and his kindness. Deep condolences for his friends and family. Cathy

Art was my dear childhood friend. It was only a few months ago we reconnected and made a promise we would get together. Sadly, that did not happen! We did talk on the phone for an hour laughing at our childhood pranks and thankful for that. Rest In Peace My Forever Friend Joan (Loukes)
