Enjoyed working with him at fire scenes and meetings.
He was one of the kindest men I have ever met. He worked so very hard, and loved his garden, and his farm. But my favourite thing about him, was that twinkle in his eye whenever he was laughing.

Ross was a very kind, generous man who Paul and I had the pleasure to know for the last 10 years. I enjoyed our visits and hearing his stories about growing up in Oxford County where my family was from. He liked to discuss current local and world events too. I was always impressed with his love and devotion to Blanche, his faithfulness to Roseneath United and his optimism. Even after Ross lost most of his vision he would say, “ It could always be worse.” His was a life very well lived. Our sincere condolences to Blanche and family. Velma and Paul Burley
My heart goes out to your family. While I don't think we've met (perhaps when I was too young to remember), Ross was always known to me as "Uncle Ross". He was Dad's big boss and friend as the two of them kept the roads of Alnwick safe. He never bocked when Dad would bring us up to the garage and let us climb in the big trucks, he would just smile and say a quiet Hello. And he always had the best apples! I will always remember him fondly, and will think of him often with the memory of climbing up and sitting on the farm fence while he and dad loaded wood into the trick, with Chum prancing around them both. I wish you all warm and wonderful memories.
I am saddened to hear about the passing of Ross. My sincere condolences to you Blanche, Paul, Allan and family. He will be remembered as one who was active in the church as well as in the community. RIP Ross
You will be remembered. Every time I look at the trees you planted around the playground equipment. You watered the saplings for many years till they became strong enough to survive on their own. Thank-you for doing that . You told me that it was to provide shade for the children when they were playing. You are a great example of what one person can do to improve this world. You will be missed. My condolences to Blanch and his family.

I will always remember Ross fondly. We lived on Shearer's Point for several years and one of my first jobs was working with Ross on his farm. The boys were very young then, I think it was the mid to late 60's. My condolences to Blanche and the family. Ross was a kind and caring person, he will be greatly missed.
