With her loving husband and children by her side, at the age of 86 years, Marilyn passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, on April 2, 2022. Marilyn was the dearly beloved best friend and wife of Ross Clifford Adams for 64 wonderful years. Together they raised their son and daughter at their Willowdale home of 30 years. In preparation for retirement and in their typical teamwork manner, they built a house, from the ground up, in Roseneath Landing; relocating there in 1989, and subsequently moving to Cobourg in 2005. Through a wide variety of community activities, Marilyn generously gave her time in support of others. She volunteered as part of the Northumberland Hills hospital auxiliary, was secretary of the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club and supported numerous community events including church strawberry socials, various Probus functions and local fall fairs. A slice of her prize-winning apple pie was often coveted by many visiting family members and friends. Marilyn leaves her son Murray Ross Adams (Corinne) and daughter, Laura Susan Adams. She was predeceased by her brothers Gordon Hendren (Lucille) and “Mac” Hendren, as well as her sisters Beverly Hendren and Audrey Roberts (Jack). Saddened also by her passing are her four grandchildren: Michael Adams (Christine), Megan Adams (fiancée Tim Shyrin), Shireen Adams and Mina Creighton (Jeremy), as well as her five greatgrandchildren: Logan, Ben, Madelyn, Aria and Jack. The memories she made with all of us will be cherished.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday April 22, at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg.
The family respectfully requests that all guests attending the Celebration of Life wear masks.

My sympathies to you Ross and to your family. Besides being a nice person, neighbour and friend, Marilyn was generous and helpful. When we moved into the Roseneath neighbourhood about 24 years ago, we were so welcomed by you both. We benefited in her experience in jam making, especially from the black currents that grew in your garden in Roseneath Landing. What with your bushes and the ones that you gave to us, and Marilyn’s recipe, my whole family couldn’t get enough of that black current jam. I will miss her instant laugh and pleasant nature.
