Elder, Mary Elizabeth (Betty), peacefully in her sleep at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday, February 10, 2005. Mary Elizabeth Elder (nee Smith), in her 78th year, was the beloved wife of Willis Percy Elder for the last 55 years. Dear mother of David (Diane) of Port Hope, Marilyn of Cobourg, Debra Jean (Mike) of South Carolina, Roxanne of Cobourg, Melinda (Dennis) of Burlington, Elaine of Cobourg and Janet (Peter) of Waterdown. Grandmother of Alexander, Thomas, Mike, Robert, David, Alison, Michael Jr., Joshua, Spencer, Warren, Andrew, Jonathan, Patrick, Zachary, Tammy (Mike), Tasha and Tabatha. Great grandmother of Hope. Sister of Jessie (Bill) and Ernest, also Andrew, Spencer, Doug and Ronald all predeceased. A funeral service will be held at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment Baltimore East Cemetery.
