Sorry about the loss of your mother. Unfortunately due to my job I will not be able to attend the service. Bruce, Lawrence and Dale you are in my prayers. I hope to get together with you sometime soon. Love, Your cousin Carol
We were very sorry to hear this week of Howardine's passing. I was thinking of her and did an internet search knowing that we've lost touch with many people due to the pandemic. I hope it's not too late to acknowledge her loss and what a positive person she was. Our families grew up across the street from one another and our parents stayed in touch. Howardine was a loyal friend and we have some wonderful memories of her and Ralph joining us at the Dasberg family celebrations. Our sincere condolences to all of you.
I was saddened to hear of Howardine’s passing today. I know her health had been declining over the past few years and covid certainly didn’t help! I was a flower girl at Howardine and Ralph’s wedding way back when! And babysat several of the kids when they lived in Whitby. Howardine was always a kind, generous and positive person in everything she did. She will be missed!
Well, Bruce and Wendy, Lawrence and Donna, and Dale ,my apologies for being so late with this. First I waited to hear from you Bruce and then I got involved with my chemo and forgot. Later, when I told Darlene about Howardine, she suggested we look up her obituary and so we did and here we are. Anyway, your was my oldest friend and it was hard to see how much she had declined during the last three years. She was always a kind person always ready to help those less fortunate. I laugh when I remember her towing your Dad at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. She really did have a heavy foot! I often think of her with fondness. So I end this note with with heartfelt condolences from Reno and me and Grant offers sympathy as well. And I hope we all can look forward to improvement in our health.
Howardine was the beat neighbour ever. She always had a beautiful smile and we shared a many stories. I miss both her and Ralph My condolences to the family. They are all exceptional people. My heart is heavy.
Howardine was such a delightful and helping member of our Helping Hands Northumberland group - I am glad I got to know her later in her life!! Deepest sympathy to her family and those who loved her!

Howardine Anthony ("Mom Anthony" to us) was the simply the most wonderful amazing human being. Her kindness, compassion, patience and generosity is second to none. She will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts. In 1980, Mom Anthony opened her heart and her home to a refugee family from Laos. She signed up to take on sponsorship so that we were able to leave a refugee camp in Thailand and immigrated to Canada. We did not speak or understand a word of English; we were scared and did not know what the future held for us. Mom Anthony showed us her patience, kindness and supported us in every single step as we settled in our new life. No matter how busy life gets, Mom Anthony took the time and made sure we stay connected with gatherings (Christmas dinners and summer BBQs at the farm). Her favorites were the home made fried noodles and spring rolls. She celebrated our accomplishments as we finished school, got married, bought a home and had children. Mom Anthony really made the world a better place for us. We would not have today if it wasn't for her. She was one of a kind and we will forever be grateful for Mom Anthony.

Such a sweet woman. She came with her walker when she lived at Victoria Seniors to stand outside our home to hear Ross play his bagpipes. Always a smile. We missed her one day , did not know she went to the Plough. May she Rest In Peace

We have been cottage neighbours of Howardine and her family for fifty years. She had a sense of humour and once said she’d only go in the water if they’d paved the bottom of the lake. Howardine was a very kind and generous person and her actions set an example for the rest of us to follow. Our family sends condolences to Lawrence, Bruce, Dale and their families for the loss of their dear mother.
She was such a kind , friendly , caring person when I volunteered at Baltimore Public School. Just seeing her picture again brings warm feelings. So sorry for your loss.

To the Anthony Family: We are sad to hear of the passing of Howardine. We knew Howardine and Ralph were very generous with their time and financial support for those in need, particularly new immigrants to our country. Howardine was especially generous in supporting Olya and Irra, our girls from Belarus, when they visited us each summer. Please accept our sympathies. Jane Montgomery and Jay sherwin
