Loving mother, grandmother and friend. Predeceased by her parents, Gloria and Joe O’Grady. Survived by daughters, Stephanie Lewis, Raylee Lewis and Shawni O’Grady. Sister Deanne O’Grady Spalding, Brothers Sean O’Grady, Ryan O’Grady and Doug Smith. Grandmother to Shane and Blake Huffman, Jase Finnemore. Remembered with much love by the Kelly family. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy Shannon. She loved her family and friends. She was a strong woman with a kind heart. She is now at peace and reunited with her beloved parents. Cremation with a public visitation to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Tuesday, December 28th from 7 to 9 pm. Due to Covid restrictions all guests will need to adhere to social distancing, wearing of masks, contact tracing, and building capacity limitations. A PRIVATE FAMILY Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with interment of cremated remains to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Cobourg. The Funeral Mass will be streamed online for those wishing to view it and available through www.saintmichaelschurchcobourg.com on Wednesday, December 29th at 1:30pm. Memorial donations may be made to CAMH.

Shannon was special from the get go I remember it was my job in gr 3 as her big buddy to make sure she got on the kindergarten bus safely from st Mary's to st Mike's every day. Even then she had had a wild spirit and sparkly personality !! Through the years she always showed kindness,friendliness,and warmth with a fabulous sense of humor. Dee, Sean, Ryan and girls, I was so saddened to receive the news of Shannon’s passing. We spent so much time together growing up, to the point where we would finish each other’s sentences! We would often talk about our dreams and aspirations, like when we decided we would move to Florida after high school to become cheerleaders, we would giggle into the wee hours of the night, and get caught by my mom making prank phone calls. It was a much simpler time and I cherish so many of those memories and speak of them with my own kids. Shannon will always be my first best friend and I’m glad I was able to let her know that. Gone but never forgotten ❤️
