Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday, December 3rd, 2021, Darlene Cavanaugh in her 78th year. Beloved wife to the late Wilfred Cavanaugh. Loving mother to Wendy (Brian), the late Wanda Cavanaugh, Carla (Kim), and Sam (Anna). Cherished grandmother to Matthew, Ben, and Noah. She is predeceased by her brothers Don and Ray. Predeceased by Thelma Joyce Wheeler. Predeceased by her parents Olive and Norman Lovett. Cremation to take place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Our Mom was an extremely kind and gentle soul who loved her family and her grand-dogs Stanley and Zoey. Memorial donations made to the Northumberland Humane Society.

I worked with Darlene for many years on Division street , Cobourg. I have never forgotten her. So sorry to hear of her passing.
Adriana and I have some good memories of Darlene at the ball diamond in 1978 as she kept a watchful and loving eye on Sam while he played first base for the Legion Branch 133 Red Wings. In our eyes, Darlene was another quiet parent who generously supported her son's efforts growing up. Sincere condolences to Sam and family.
