Joseph Raymond Bleitzhofer

July 28, 1919 - November 13, 2021

Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, November 13th, 2021, Joseph Bleitzhofer at 102 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Reta Bleitzhofer (nee French). Joe is survived by his brother John and predeceased by his siblings Leo, Donald, Tom, Margaret, Veronica, as well as his brothers & sisters-in-law of the French family. Also missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family in both Canada and the United States. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (Corner of University and Division in Cobourg) on Saturday November 20th at 1 pm. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Due to Covid restrictions all guests will need to adhere to social distancing, wearing of masks, contact tracing, and building capacity limitations. The Funeral Mass will be streamed online for those unable to attend and will be available through www.saintmichaelschurchcobourg.com. Cremation to follow with later interment at Tillsonburg Cemetery. A reception will be held following the Mass at the Lion’s Community Centre on 157 Elgin St. E. in Cobourg. People planning to attend the reception will need to provide proof of full vaccination at the door to achieve entry. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Parkinson Canada.
