I first met Doug when he was doing organ supply at Calvary Baptist Church after we first came to Cobourg 30 years ago. After I became the regular organist, he continued to do summer supply for us. Over the years, we talked from time to time about various organs, churches, and concert organists. I appreciated his quiet sense of humour, and am sorry that the pandemic made it difficult to be in touch with him personally in the last little while. I am sure we will all miss this gentle gentleman.
