It's with love and great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Linda. Born in Orillia Ontario, Linda was the daughter of the late John & Lillian Irwin. A passionate teacher, primarily in the Northumberland School Board, for over 35 years, she has left her indelible mark on the lives and education of many students.
Hers was a life filled with time spent with her family and friends, which she was able to make quickly, passion for travel around the world, and time at the cottage. Linda relished her independence. Linda also had an abiding faith in God that saw her through her many struggles and which she always sought to share with others
She was a loving and proud mother and adoring grandmother to 6 grandchildren. Loving mother to Chris (Rabbiya), Stephen (Andrea) and Leah (Paul) Fleming. Cherished grandmother of Joshua and Kameran Stadelmann, and Oscar and Nell Stadelmann and Francis and Justus Fleming. For those who wish, donations in memory of Linda can be made to the BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre Foundation and would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Dear Family, Very sorry for your loss. Your mom faced many health issues head on and did not let it slow her down. We were colleagues at Baltimore PS. Always put a smile on my face…my favourite story was our discussion about teaching recorders, and how we (I) waited until spring to go outside. Her response…Oh. I just take out my hearing aids! And I cherished our chats. She was a very intelligent woman. Her insights on many issues were most thought provoking. She will be missed. She was so very proud of all of you, and rightly so.
