MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE / DONATIONS

Costa Christou - August 1, 2022

My sincerest condolences to Len's family. I met Len when I lived at 2255 Victoria Park between 2000 and 2003. Len changed the oil on my Black Jetta a couple of times. I remember Len as a happy guy. I remember he had his shop at the back of the building there and we would chat back there on occasion about how he was locomotive mechanic (I think). He was very friendly; the type of guy you were glad to run into. RIP Len.

Eric and Judy Gray - July 30, 2022

Len was a kind and gentle man. I worked with Len at CN, Played hockey with him and of course those wonderful fishing trips Where not too many fish were caught. My wife and I also enjoyed our monthly Swiss Chalet dinner meetings with other friends from CN Len’s knowledge of trains was immense. To his family we send our love and prays. Until the next train love Eric and Judy Gray

Denis Godbout - June 7, 2021

To the Tickhor Family, please accept our condolences for your loss. I was fortunate to have known Len for his many hours of service he provided to York-Durham Heritage Railway over many years He was a wealth of knowledge and always willing to come out and help with our locomotives even in the latter years when his health was not good. He will be missed as there are few people left with his knowledge of Alco locomotives. He will also be missed for the stories he would share. He will be missed because he was a such a good person Sincerely, Denis Godbout and Sue-Ellen Kolar
