On May 18th, 2021, Sherry stood up and walked to the other side, where the spirits greeted her and her soul sang out. Sherry leaves behind her much loved husband of 48 years Paul Thompson. Sherry is pre-deceased by her parents Margaret Annie Honey and Arthur Raymond Pearce and her step-father Ronald Charles Pillsworth. She will be sadly missed by the Pillsworth, Honey, Thompson and Pearce families. She also had a special relationship with the donkeys at Primrose Sanctuary and her furry four legged friends at home. Cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date.
We enjoyed our friendship with Shari for many years. She and Paul have been wonderful neighbours at the lake. We will miss her. A donation has been sent to the donkey sanctuary. They will miss her, as well.

Dearest Paul - we are so sorry for your and our loss of a cherished person such as Sherry. Our 'family' connection means a lot to us and please reach out any time. I still have the beautiful photo Sherry took of the beloved polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba. You shared a life time together, and she knows you loved every minute .... Michelle, Lex, Ryan and Cameron.
Dear Paul: We recently learned of your wife's passing and we wanted to send our sincerest condolences to you. We are so sorry for your loss. We didn't realize you still lived in Cobourg. We live in Huntsville, Ontario but go to Cobourg a lot since Ross' family still lives there. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. Sincerely, Ross and Penny (Martin) Jenkins.
Sherry and my friendship began at the Primrose Donkey Sanctuary many years ago. Sherry and I and our husband's Paul and Derek became good friends. Sherry and I shared the same love for the beautiful animals at the sanctuary. Sherry had a close bond with two particular animals that she took under her wings, a miniature donkey named Goliath, and a mule name Austin. I remember her coming to the sanctuary and walking Goliath on the front lawn so he could get some exercise and eat the grass. They both loved being together and they were the best of pals. I am sure Sherry was greeted by her beloved Goliath who surely would have been eagerly waiting to see her once again. Helen, a beautiful kind sheep, loved Sherry as well. One of the things she would always do is brush her. Helen was so content she would not move and sometimes fell asleep while Sherry groomed her. Rest in peace Sherry, walk with your furry friends and let your heart be filled with love forever. Carol Drew and Derek Nice

I'm so incredibly sad to hear this. Sherry was always such a joy to speak with whether it was during our work at the County, or when I visited Primrose. Sherry delighted in explaining all of the animals' personalities at the Sanctuary. My deepest sympathies.

Death of a beloved family leaves a huge void in our hearts! But when I think of this Aunt of mine a warm feeling comes over me.... Many years have past since I was a little girl swimming at the end of her dock at Little Lake searching for clams .... Time may have had me drift away but Im glad that when we did see each other there was nothing but a warm embrace and a a conversation that never skipped a beat! So to my Aunt we hope that you are free of pain and enjoying a happy reunion with your dad and our grandparents. Until we meet again❤️ Thoughts are with you Paul at this difficult time.
Dear Paul my condolences to you and family on the passing of Sherry. We had many years of laughter tears and many capers. memories will keep her close and I will smile often remembering. She is at peace.
