Passed away peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Tuesday May 11th, 2021 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Rosemarie Robins (nee Prentice). Loving father of Gordon (Debora), Carol Ann Wright (Timothy), Douglas (Laura) and Pamela (Len) Hawkins. Dear grandfather of Amy, Holly, Sarah, Alyson, Erika, Benjamin, Hannah, Brandon, Steanna and great grandfather of Kaeden, Khloe, Tyson, Cassius, Clayton, Brantley, Sandra and Rory. Brother of Doris Riley, Donald Robins and Marie Perry.
Standing at an astonishing 5’4”, Beverley lived in the house he grew up in. He was the face of Robins General Merchant where he never tired of conversation…never …ever. The store was his happy place; he loved the store and he loved his customers. He knew many of his customer’s by name and would always find time to chat. He knew all the back roads of Alnwick Township and all the history of the area. So many people would stop-in looking for directions or to find an aging family member. Beverley closed the store at the beginning of COVID and only because he had to. We all loved him dearly, will miss his humour and candor.
A private family service was held on Friday May 14th at Roseneath United Church. Interment in Centenary Cemetery, Roseneath. If desired donations may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Canada. The Robins family would like to thank Dr. Sabatini, Dr. Amin, the Paramedics stationed in Roseneath who attended tirelessly, and the staff at the Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care and compassion. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.

Please accept our deepest condolences to you Rosemarie and the family. We were so saddened to hear of Bev’s passing. Bev had such a charismatic personality and you knew when you visited him at the store he would enlighten you on what was going on around Roseneath. Bev was definitely an icon and will be missed in the village. Love and strength for the days ahead. Sympathies to you all from Doug Wilson and Laurie Marsden.
Our sincerest sympathies to you Rosemarie and to your family. Bev was the last hold-out of all the general stores in Roseneath! I enjoyed our chats when I would pick up my water; a wedding card on my way to the wedding (he thought that was hilarious-last minute shopper!) or a tub of ice cream. He always had that smile and laugh. Hold your memories close to your heart. RIP Bev- you will be missed. Jayne Atkinson and family.
My condolances to the family. Bev was one of a kind and will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Bev`s passing . Roseneath has lost one of it`s main draws ,his family can be proud of the fact that Bev truly kept the feeling of the old country store alive for so many years. A place where you walked in saying hello and left saying goodbye see you later. Bev always had something to talk about and usually you left with a smile on your face, you can not ask for more than that. Yes, he is truly going to be missed our thoughts and prayers go out to Rosemary and the family. God Bless

I worked with Bev at the Post Office, it was great to have worked with him. Thinking of you and your family during this time of sadness.
Saddened by this notice. Three generations of our family stopped by Robins General Store, first my parents, then myself, finally my son. Each of us regaled of yarns spun by Bev, both up to date and historic. A little more than a year ago,I was happy to accept an invite to sit out back of the store in the sun, and listen to Bev weave that yarn for awhile again. I’ve missed, for some time, looking up from the stop sign at the end of 24, and seeing him standing at the window. A honk and a wave put a smile on both our faces! To Mrs Robins and the the rest of the family, pleases accept our condolences.
