Bea passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 88 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late David C. Roffey. Cherished mother of Deborah Roffey-Mular (Michael), David (Margaret), Michael (Cindy) and the late John Roffey. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Matthew, Elizabeth Fraser (Kyle) and Jasmine. Great grandmother to Riley Fraser. Dear sister of Eva Amey. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Perry, Erma Egan, Irene Shanks, Jean Murphy and brothers Ken and Jack.
Bea was born and raised in Napanee, Ontario where she developed a lifelong love of sports especially hockey and golf. She rarely missed an NHL hockey game or PRO golf tournament on TV. Bea was a long-time member of Dalewood Golf Club and played in the Ladies Day League for many years. She especially loved a golf game with her family and friends at The Mill or in the woods with the gang at “Sherwood”.
Over the years, walks in all types of weather with her closest friends Doreen and Shirley were followed by coffee and socializing with familiar faces at “Tim’s”.
Bea enjoyed filling out PROLINE on Saturday mornings with Michael, or sitting quietly doing crosswords, Sudoku, reading a good mystery or watching her favourite soap, the Y&R. She also loved working in her flower gardens and a special one “down at the cabin”.
Thank you to the kind and caring Nurses and Doctors at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
Interment at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter with a gathering of family and close friends at a later date.
In honour of Bea’s memory donations may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation, Northumberland United Way or Ed’s House Northumberland.

I write this message on behalf of my mother, Mary Hulburd and all my siblings. We were saddened to hear about the passing of Bea. The Roffey family and Hulburd family spent a lot of time together in Cowansville and East Farnham. We have photos of the whole gang together at the kitchen table, and watching the antics of our respective parents. They also spent lots of time on the ski hills together. Bea will always be remembered in our hearts with fondness. Debby, David and Michael, our hearts are with you at this most difficult time.
Dear Deb and family, I cannot remember the first time I meet your Mom and Dad - somewhere in the neighbourhood of 40 years ago - what I remember is how they always made me feel warm and welcomed in their home, even in the wake of their own grief with Johnny. The conversation was easy, and they were always interested in what was going on. I will miss sitting at the table overlooking the back property. I will now miss the diminutive but mighty Bea and her sweet little laugh. Mother's are our first homes, our first loves, and our first friend. The loss is deep. I am so sorry for you, David and Michael, their wives and children. Please know I am thinking of you. Dunja

So sorry to hear of Bea’s passing. We were neighbors of Dave & Bea’s for many years. We always enjoyed our chats. Last summer our son was introduced to the Sherwood course and he raved about it with his friends. Bea was a prize and we’ll miss her (as was Dave).
My sincere condolences to all of Bea's family. I have only had the pleasure of knowing Bea for a few golf seasons at the Mill but I will miss her humour and passion she had for golf. She often spoke of her own golf course ... and how her son would bring his unsuspecting friends, for a round. You will be missed.
Jasmine. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
Hi Debbie,Dave and Mike. Sorry to here about the passing of your mom. Always enjoyed the time I spent with your her, be it golfing or meeting downtown, for a short family catch up. Bea was a great lady, she will be missed.
My condolences on the passing of Bea. I meet Bea at the Mill Golf course, and always enjoyed our weekly golf games over the last couple of years. She truly was a kind woman And I will miss her on the golf course.
David, Deborah, & Michael & Families: My thoughts & prayers are with you during this sad time! I always enjoyed chatting with your Mom when she came into the office. She was a great lady! Carolyn Adams
My condolences to Bea's children and grandchildren. I enjoyed many games of golf with Bea at Dalewood. Almost always, there was a little money on the line and nothing pleased her more than taking 20 cents or so from her playing partners. Well, one thing did please her more - paying her debts in pennies with a big grin on her face. I also heard lots of stories about family games at "Sherwood". May your memories of her live on.
