Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Monday May 3rd, 2021 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Roy Hempstead. She will be dearly missed by her two sons David (Christine) and Michael (Carolyn). Cherished grandmother to Daniel, Bryan (Katrina), Andrew, and great grandmother to Lucia and Nolan. Cherished step grandmother of Michael Redwood (Cassandra), David Redwood (Virginia), and cherished step great grandmother of Damon and Colin, Rachel and Julia. Due to covid restrictions a private family service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St E, Cobourg, on Saturday May 8th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of choice.

“June” was always held dearly in my heart. She was such a pleasure to be around. Her kind heart was so large and caring towards myself and other staff at Victoria retirement. Although I had left Victoria retirement last year, June was in my thoughts. I know she is reunited with loved ones, and the rest of the girls she had become close to and lost. My condolences to the entire family through this difficult time. She was very much loved by so many.
