It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Edith Moffat ( nee Hutcheson) on Thursday April 22, 2021 at the age of 64. She is predeceased by her husband, George Edward Moffat. Survived by her parents, Father, Andrew Boyd Hutcheson (Doreen), Mother, Nancy Geraldine Parsons (Alan). Siblings, David Andrew Hutcheson (Monica), Donald George Hutcheson ( Liz), Denise Susan Rose (Gord), Valerie Lynn Malone (Dan) and Dan Sutton.
She was a much loved Aunt to Cheryl (Mike), Jason, Ashley (Jon), Rachel (Mike),
Sean (Nicki), Ryan (Maya), Justin (Rebecca), Kyle, Christopher (Ania) and a Great Aunt to Dylan, Logan, Braydan, Eloise and Hugh. The family would like to thank TC & R Homecare Company for their kind, compassionate care of Diane which allowed her to pass away at home. “Amazing” Grace, Diane’s primary caregiver, went above & beyond in her effort to make Diane as comfortable and happy as possible. We would also like to thank Dr. Mule, Dr. Haunts for their kindness and support. We would like to acknowledge Diane’s best friend of 45 years Debbie Brown Myers. She was always a great support for her “Hutch”.
Diane was an avid golfer and forged many strong friendships with her golfing partners at Dalewood Golf Club. The Dalewood, ‘ladies group’ was a great support during this time and even arranged to have a bench in memory of Diane at the 17th hole. Diane also enjoyed playing on various Dart Leagues in Oshawa and Cobourg.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Dalewood Golf Club. If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE / DONATIONS

Jane McIvor - April 27, 2021

Deepest condolences to Diane’s family. I so enjoyed our time bowling and discussing the game of golf.

Scott Tuttle - April 27, 2021

I would like to send my condolences to the Hutcheson family, as I met Diane through Don, when she purchased her Equinox. We met at the dealership different times, and had golf, darts and friends to talk about when I see her in the service department. May she rest in peace.

Sharon Martorino - April 27, 2021

I do not know the family, but Diane bowled with us for a couple of years. She was the most amazing person & we all liked her so much. This is such sad news. I know she loved to golf. Please accept our deepest sympathy from the bowling team. (Canadian Industrial Services). 💔💔

My deepest and sincere condolences to Diane's family. Diane left us way too soon but she left us with so many wonderful memories that we can all cherish forever. Diane was not only my manager & co-worker for many years, but most of all my friend! We also shared the luv of golfing and I had the opportunity to receive some greatly appreciated advice from both her and George while enjoying some rounds of golf. I will miss Diane, this is not good-bye...it's just so long until we meet again on the 1st tee!!!
