MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE / DONATIONS

Nancy Williams - March 29, 2021

I was saddened to read of Pierre's passing. I first met Pierre and Marilyn when Pierre's father resided at Streamway Villa. Soon everyone was friends with them both. Pierre's personality made sure of it. His outgoing nature , daily visits to the home to play cribbage and bring his beautiful golden retriever in for all to admire, became a regular thing. Marilyn and Pierre both spent time with other residents playing bridge and viewing the many pictures from their recent holidays. Pierre and I later would reconnect at the YMCA where I would hear of upcoming trips and family gatherings. His smile and contagious laugh will be sorely missed. Condolences to Marilyn, his children (who I never met but always heard wonderful things about) , and grandchildren. RIP Pierre

Erin Sawyer - March 22, 2021

Marilyn, we are so sorry to hear the news. To us Pierre seemed like a "hard shell" when we moved in but very quickly showed that he was a humorous, caring man who brought a light with him to every interaction. My favourite memory of him proving he was a "foodie" was knocking on our door with a bag of tomatoes from your garden and another bag of blueberries - with the hope that jam would make its way back to him! His passion and detail that went into caring for things around the house/yard and his love for your dog were evident to everyone in our neighbourhood. May you find peace in knowing that he is no longer fighting the battle and know that you have all of our help and support always. Warmest Thoughts - Derek, Erin, Hudson & Brennan Sawyer

Ron Sheppard - March 19, 2021

Met Pierre 12 years ago when I joined the bridge club. He was always smiling and we joked back and forth and I always enjoyed coming to your table. He didn't play as often as some and took the game in a positive and most friendly way. But what I always commented on was his expertise making the coffee. I kidded him and always said that his coffee would put hair on my chest. He would walk by my table and whisper to me that the next pot coming off was his. I thanked him and headed up. Even when I met him in the parking lot and he wasn't playing I would jokingly ask him to come in and make the coffee. I was most shocked to hear of his passing and wish to pass on my sincerest condolences on your loss. He was truly a nice guy I am proud to have known. Ron
