Diane and Hugh and my twin sister Catherine and her husband Patrick, in Gores Landing, are very special friends! I was very lucky to have met Diane and Hugh in 2015 when our brother and I flew to Ontario. Meeting Diane and Hugh was a lot of fun as they are such very warm people! My sister's wonderful and warm friendship with Diane was a strong bond of consideration and caring for each other. I will miss hearing of Diane and Catherine's adventures in Gores Landing and Cobourg. My twin sister and I will never forget all the Birthday cards you sent to both of us! Much love to you Hugh, take care and I am so sorry for the loss you have endured! Sincerely, Constance
Uncle Hugh, Anne, David and your families, I am so sorry for your loss. Auntie Diane was a beautiful person and woman. Many wonderful memories of her. She will be truly missed. Love to you all.
I knew Dianne from D'Arcy Place so many years ago - I still remember her dressing up as a witch on Halloween and dancing to entertain the members of the Happy Hours Club! But even more, I remember being a young and clueless person whom she took under her wing to help me make wider connections and find bigger opportunities. Her generosity is something I always appreciated, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with a similar story. I also remember how proud she was of Anne and David, and my heart goes out to her family.

I met Diane in grade school at McGregor Public School in Aylmer, Ontario when she was "the new girl in town". I was immediately taken with her outgoing personality, her obvious intelligence and her quick wit. I could never have imagined that the friendship begun that day would last 66 years! To say I will miss her is an understatement. I especialy treasure the letters I received from Diane over the years; how lucky for me that she was a prolific writer! I'm grateful that Diane got to experience so many of the wonderful gifts of life, not least among them the abiding love of her family. My husband, Bill, joins me in sending Hugh, and every other member of Diane's family, our heartfelt condolences. She was a special lday. We celebrate her memory.
