I knew Kor from high school and I knew then that guy was going to spend his life working on cars doing great restoration or repair work on cars. Kor loved cars then. I knew that Cal-Kor Auto had to be the same Kor.. I never saw him again after high school, but I knew that guy was living his dream with cars and probably a family. Just a nice regular fellow, I am saddened about this for his family as I am sure Kor was a good father and husband. Please accept my condolences .

To Kor’s family: I only knew Kor from his stunning photography on the Lake Ontario Effect Facebook page, but I was greatly inspired by his unerring eye for drama and beauty. We had a few fun exchanges: once he took one of my photographs from the page and reposted it with his edits! Thus ensued some friendly banter about what the clouds looked like from Coburg and Rochester. RIP, Kor. I’ll miss your artistic talent.

I never met Kor in person-we were both members of the Lake Ontario Effect Facebook page. His artistry in the photos he shared of Cobourg made me want to travel there and I made plans to do so just as soon as the border opened up. He also was incredibly kind and generous when commenting of the photos posted by others. An artist has the ability to touch others with words and images. Kor touched the lives of so many. May his family find peace knowing how grateful we have come to know Kar from afar, and how much beauty he has brought to the lives of so many. God bless.

Shawn Williams - February 8, 2021

Karen, Kurtis, Karson and Konner. Kor was the only man that ever believed in me. He was the kindest most generous hearted man I will ever know. He gave me a chance at life. He made me into the man I am today. He did not have to give that chance some 30 years ago, he did. I will always be grateful for that. He gave me guidance everyday after that. He showed me how life is supposed to be. Not only life, he shared all his knowledge of the automotive industry with me. He always reassured me that we were making the right decision about how we were fixing things, he was always there to bounce ideas off of about how to fix it the right way. He taught me how to work smarter, not harder. Kor and I talked about so much over the years, from when we started taking long snowmobile rides before the children were around, to watching you three boys grow up to be men. He really taught me about life, he helped me grow as a man, he helped me find my way. He always put others before himself, I believe in my heart he made sacrifices to help me better my life. He helped me be a better father, how to be an honest man, how to believe in myself, my work, my skills and in how to listen to my heart. He will always be more than a boss to me, I looked up to him. He was my big brother that I spent eight hours a day with everyday. He gave me direction, he kept me on the straight and narrow. I am not sure who I would today without him and the big caring heart of Kor. I loved that man like he was my family, he will always live within my heart. I miss him so much. I would like to pass on my deepest sympathies to all of you and all his friends. It was an honour and a privilege to work with him and for him. Shawn Williams
