Hendrik (Hank) Kiers passed away peacefully at home at the age of 79 after a brief battle with cancer. The Lord took home our dearly loved husband, father, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Roelie (nee Kikkert); children Brenda & Randy Sol, Harry & Sharon Kiers, John & Sylvia Kiers, Reg & Tricia Kiers, Alvin & Jennifer Kiers, Sabrina & Lorenzo Guite; 19 grandchildren (Nicholas 2015) and spouses and 9 great grandchildren. Remembered by 5 siblings, spouses and extended family; brothers-and-sisters-in-law and extended family. Predeceased by 5 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-laws. A celebration of life and private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to The Brain Tumour Foundation and Mission to Haiti Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Very sorry to hear of Hank's passing. Such a good person. Have many fond memories of Hank and the CLOSA fishing club. For years in the summer Weller Bay Campground store was the unofficial headquarters for the fishing club. Both Hank and Ruby the perfect hosts Condolences to Ruby and her family
So sorry to hear. Your husband was an amazing employer for our son Steven. It was his first job. Steve respected Hank so much . We are all in Alberta now. We all send our love and prayers through this time.

When I (Jeff) was 12 years old, I bought my very own bicycle from Hank when he (and Rick) still ran Kiers Electric in Woodstock, Ontario. I think that they imported from Holland. It was a good bike ... and quite heavy too. May God bless you all.

Sorry to hear of the loss to your family! I don’t know any of the family but I wanted to say that I enjoyed the conversation I had with Hank. He shared a room with my father a couple weeks back at NHH. Hank is the bravest man I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, he had accepted death on its terms with the support of his family. Inspirational!!!
