Annelies Ruth Linda Lichtenberger

August 14, 1926 - January 25, 2021

Our mother and Oma left us to forever join her beloved husband Barle (Walter) & grandson Dylan (Trisha). May they rest in peace. Survived by sons Rainer (Chris) and Perry (Joyce), grandchildren Candice (Darryl) and Justin and great grandchildren Marcus, Nova & Aurora.
Annelies's wish was to have no services, cremation only. A tree in her memory will be planted in Peace Park Cobourg.
For those wishing, donations to the Northumberland Orchestra Society or Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
A big thank you to the staff at Hope Street Terrace for their compassionate care given during these difficult times.

I am so sorry to hear of Annelies passing. A very competent, fun-loving, lady, and although it was a short business acquaintance (we worked together on Northumberland Orchestra business), I will miss her. We lived round the corner from each other, and I visited every once in a while. To the family, my condolences.

peter l langham - February 5, 2021

Rainer sorry to read your mothers obituary, my condolences to you and your family. I well remember when your mother and father first came to see me at Midland Walwyn at least 25 years ago. your dad liked a little flutter on the market but had not been too successful. Your mother was just the opposite. So we agreed on a somewhat less aggressive strategy which did, in fact, work very well over the years. Your mother was always a perfect lady to deal with and I think we developed a strong trusting relationship over the years. I know that her last few years would have been very challenging but I am sure that she would have used all of her old country fortitude to have coped. God Bless, Peter

Annelies was my cousin and one of the last persons to share memories of our youth and grandparents and parents. It was so nice that she visited us while visiting Germany a row of years ago. We will miss her so much. Our sincere condolences to the whole family and our love, Ursula and Klaus

Harry and Ina - February 2, 2021

Our heartfelt condolences to the whole family. We will remember Annelies and also Walter as warm-hearted persons, deeply fond of each other. They were hardworking and generous and were so happy with their house in Cobourg at beautiful lake Ontario. We had a lot of fun whenever we met and there are so many little stories and excursions to keep in mind. Without Annelies and Walter we would have lost contact to this branch of the family. With love, Harry and Ina

So sorry to hear of Annelies’ passing. She was a truly beautiful and classy woman. Remember her kindness in helping me with the bookkeeping at St. Paul’s Lutheran after passing the position on to me. Annelies was generously patient with me. Know she is resting peacefully with Walter.
