Sending our thoughts and prayers for you all with the passing of Aunt Betty. Such a sweet lady.
Betty and Bobby were wonderful people and very true christians. She was my first friend when I moved to Cobourg from the states. I loved spending time with her. She took the place of my mom being so far away from home. I remember she used to mow the lawn in her heels,,,,lol she loved her chocolates and her chips. She will be forever missed!!! Love, Peter and Beth
What a beautiful farewell service for Auntie Betty. We will miss her and mourne with you but know one day we will see her again. She's with Uncle Bobby now and Angela and free of pain. Love from our family to yours?
When we think of Betty McCann, our family remembers a tiny lady of tenacious love. She was always quick to give a hug & a kiss. She was gentle and filled with grace. Her faith and love of the Lord are still an inspiration to us. I (Kaitlyn) was 14 years old when I took over from my Sunday School Teacher Mrs. McCann. She entrusted me with her class and all the "wee ones" as she used to call them. The one thing that she said to me that I have carried with me is that "Children are God's most beloved. They may have simple faith but it is pure and it is deep. Be sure to teach them who Jesus is and encourage every little thing they do to know him more." I have never forgotten how much Betty believed in her ministry towards children. How much Betty gave of her love to others and how freely she gave of grace. Betty was a force of the Kingdom to be reckoned with. She has left an amazing legacy in the lives of those who had the honor of knowing her. We are so proud of her. To the family, we will hold you in our prayers. We will ask that The Comforter will make his presence felt in your hearts. May you be at peace as you remember the bright and beautiful memories that you all shared. May he hold you when those memories do not feel like enough. May you be assured that you are never alone.
To a great lady RIP
Al King Eileen and I are deeply saddened with the Promotion To Glory of our dear friend Betty. She has been a tremendous support to us in our ministry at Church On The Hill and the continuing Bible Study at The Salvation Army. As much as we know that she is now in the presence of her Lord, we will miss her fellowship and promised prayers. Our prayers are now focused on the family as we ask for God's continuing compassion, presence and strength going forward. Pastor Al and Eileen King.
