Suddenly at his home in Hamilton on Monday, January 11th, 2021, Matthew Beattie at 28 years of age. His unexpected passing has left a heartache no one can heal, yet the love his family and friends have for him, leaves the memories no one can steal. Matt is described by his friends as having the biggest heart of anyone they know and having the biggest laugh no one will ever forget. He loved being outdoors and was happiest working outside doing the job he loved, installing siding. Cherished son of Tori Geloso, John Geloso (step father) and Robert Beattie. Loving brother of Carolyn Antaya, Michael Beattie (Cynthia Junek), Brooke Beattie (Dan Turcotte), Lauren Beattie (Dee Athen), and step-brother of Lauren Lackey (Nate Lackey), Kevin Geloso (Lydia Desrochers). Dear uncle of Colin Hall, Brandon Hall, Brianna Antaya, and Theodore Lackey. Nephew of Michael John Ford, Stephen William Ford, Catherine Esther Ford, Ken Beattie, and Gordon Beattie. Matt will be forever loved by his “Aunt Sue & Uncle Dick”, Vince & Irena Geloso, cousins Carly DeMello (Marcos) and Shane Ford and best friends Dillon & Katie Allen. Matt will live forever in the hearts that he has left behind.
A private family service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home in Cobourg followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery in Grafton. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Tree Canada.

I have so many fond memories of growing up with Matt. From cinnamon heart fights to weekend walks to blockbuster for video games. I hope he is in a more restful place now. Love to Tori, Lauren, Brooke, Mike, Carolyn and the rest of the family. We'll be visiting as soon as possible for real hugs.
