Betty Clair Robson

October 24, 1935 - December 24, 2020

Betty passed away courageously and peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on December 24th, 2020. Predeceased by her husband Don, her sister Joyce and nephew Peter. Betty will be fondly remembered by her cherished and devoted friend Mary Shultz, whom she loved like a daughter, Brother-in-law, John Gillelan, loving nephews/nieces, Tom (Christine), Robert, James (Lynn), Anne (Felix), Maggie (Ivan) and her 12 great nephews/nieces, Kelly, Rebecca, John, Calvin, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Peter, Katie, Lya, Vianne, Christina and 4 great great nephews as well as many friends. She will be especially missed by lifelong friend Carol Fisher. Betty at one time acted as the organist at St. Andrew's church in Cobourg and remained an active volunteer and member. You could always count on Betty to greet you with a warm smile and twinkle in her eyes, and she had such a kind welcoming and loving demeanor. In addition to a wonderful witty sense of humour, her strength, independence and resilience was so admirable. She will be deeply missed. Donations can be made in Betty's honour to St. Andrew's Church in Cobourg or to St. Elizabeth Health Care. A private graveside service was held in Cobourg Union cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We will dearly miss this wonderful woman and friend. We have known Betty since she and Don were married in the same year as we were; they were dear neighbours in Port Hope for many years, and all the fun that we had as couples is now history. Though she and Don had no family of their own, they included our boys as part of their family. We will miss you Betty --Rest in Peace. God Bless.
