Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, December 19th, 2020. Guy Chéné at 87 years of age. Beloved husband of Jane Chéné (nee McLean). Loving father of Manon Chéné. Dear grandfather of Veronique Vachon and Jean-Daniel Vachon and great grandfather of six great grandchildren. Brother of Irene Pilon and Evelyn Chéné. Also missed by his in-laws Tom McLean (Judy) and their children Meagan, Kaitlin, and Sarah. Cremation with interment at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.
Jean I’m so sorry to hear of Guy’s passing. He always had the best smile! I’m sure there is cake to be had in heaven! Thinking of you.

It was with a lot of sadness that I heard of Guy's passing. My heart goes out to you Jane and I wish I could be there with you in person to help you get through this difficult period. I want to thank you for taking such good care of Evelyn's little brother all these years. She is very saddened by the loss and unfortunate circumstances prevent her from saying that she will miss him very much. My thoughts are with you always.

Guy était un homme généreux, toujours souriant et blagueur. Je n’ai que de très bons souvenirs de Guy quand j’étais une petite fille, il était un beau-frère génial. Reposes en paix Guy tu l’as bien mérité.
