It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jack Jones, peacefully, with his daughters by his side, at his home in Chartwell Tiffin Residence, Midland, on November 28, 2020 at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Jane Jones (nee Morrison) for 57 years. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Jennifer (Brian) and Susan (Jason). Cherished and much-loved Grandad of Vanessa, Austin (Maura), Taylor and Dylan (Mallory).
Jack lived a full life, always making the most of his time with Jane, his family, and his friends. His joy for life was most evident at the cottage, on the shores of Georgian Bay, on the golf course, singing in a choir, while helping others with various home/church repair jobs, and whenever he was enjoying a great conversation surrounded by friends and family.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many caregivers who supported Jack through his illness. The entire team at Chartwell Tiffin, who went above and beyond to make sure Jack was surrounded by the kindness he always shared with others, and the doctors and nurses at Georgian Bay General Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 11am at the Best Western, 930 Burnham Street, Cobourg, Ontario. Please RSVP at www.MacCoubrey.com if you are planning to attend. If you are unable to attend, you may watch the service live streamed by clicking on Jack’s link. Interment at St. James On The Lines Penetanguishene Heritage Cemetery on October 2, 2021, at 1 pm.

As time passes you will be blessed with many fine memories ....cherish these memories. Unfortunately I will not be in attendance......it would be too long a day for me. Don
Sorry, I will not be able to attend. JJ was a long time friend and a long time business associate. I miss his humour. Barb and I were so sorry to hear of Jack’s death last November. To Jennifer and Susan and families, we are thinking of you. Jack and Jane were wonderful friends and we all deeply felt their loss.
Jack {and Jane} had been great friends of Barb and I for over 55 years. Many enjoyable get togethers at each others home, at the cottage and on the golf course. Barb and I dearly miss Jack {and Jane and our condolences go out to Jennifer and Susan.
Dear Susan and Jennifer, your father was a true gentleman and the years that I worked for him were some of the best in my career. He cared deeply for his JDMS family. He never missed a morning without greeting every employee in the plant, making them feel appreciated and respected. I learned so much from him about the importance of humility. If we are lucky there are a few times in life that we get the chance to work with someone we truly respect and admire and working with Jack left me with those memories. I will always be grateful for that. I know that Jack will be sorely missed by his family but you must take great solace in knowing that he was well loved. Esme.
Hi Susan & Jennifer, over the holidays I heard about your Dad's passing, I am so sorry, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to both you and your families at this time of sorrow. Your parents were wonderful people and after being married for so many years, they were soul mates, it became very obvious that his life was not the same without her and he could no longer go on with life without her. Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.
Susan, Jennifer and families, my deepest sympathies for your loss. I remember many happy times working with Jack. He taught me much that served me well in my career. One of my fondest memories is when we pranked Jack by placing plastic over his door during his daily nap after lunch. He was a good sport that day and we all had a giggle.
Dear Jennifer and Susan and families, My deepest sympathies to you all. Your dad was a wonderful person and will truly be missed by so many. His kindness, compassion and generosity will never be forgotten. Farewell my friend. May you be at peace Jack. Love Robbie
Jennifer and Susan, great picture that is how we saw him and that is how we will remember your dad Jack. He was the salt of the earth, a loyal friend for many many years. Jack has left us, but fond memories of both your parents will always be with us. Donation to Chartwell Tiffin
It's hard to remember a time when we didn't know Jack. Fondest memories are the years in Don Mills as friends and close neighbours..We had so many fun times there and the golf course and of course the cottage. We will never forget this wonderful man. Our thoughts are with you Jennifer and Susan. Sheila and Ken Beaver A donation has been sent to Hospice Huronia
to JACK'S FAMILY - your FATHER was a kind, gentle soul who was always a delight to be with.. and your MOM as well. THEY LIKED TO SIT IN OUR GARDEN each SPRING and enjoy the flowers. WE attended your DAD'S concerts which were always so well done..He was always so generous with his hospitality at his golf course for the Golf fest tournament and each participant enjoyed themselves so much. WE are grateful that he was our friend. We will miss him.
Jack was like my second dad for many years and I will remember his love and kindness and interest in everything we kids were doing throughout our school years and life journeys. I am grateful to have known this wonderful man and his family that we love very much. Jen and Susan we are so sorry for your loss. Sending you strength and love from the Thomson family.
Jack was the first person Don and I met when we moved to Toronto way back in the early 1960s and we lived next door to each other in our apartments on Don Mills Road. I remember him greeting us kindly as we moved in with our two little girls and we became instant lifelong family friends. Cottage trips, holidays, travel, church, singing, and lots of love shared between our families. I will miss you Jack. Sending love to Jen and Susan and all the family.
To my dear friend Jack, together we strove to do good as board members for the Don Mills Seniors Centre, and fun on the golf course. Sincere condolences to Jack's family, with thanks for keeping me close to him during is last days. Joe
Positive thoughts to the Jennifer and Susan and all the rest of his immediate and surrounding family. We will definitely miss his happy personality and presence at the cottage .. Good memories all ..
I am saddened to hear of Jacks passing. He is a neighbour of ours (we are at 1635 Champlain) and while I did not know him well, his was always a favourite stop on our annual “fees collection rounds” for the beach association every year. Jack would always greet me with a smile, and we always had a nice conversation. Condolences to your family. ❤️
Jennifer, Susan and families, Hearing the loss of your dad gives us a heavy heart. He did live life to the fullest. You will cherish those memories with your dad. Thinking of you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Eileen Sheppard and Mike Pronk

Jack was such a wonderful brother-in-law. He and Brian were very close and with the loss of both of them it makes for compounded sadness. My prayers and sympathy are with you all.
Jack was a legend. So many great memories growing up spending time at the Jones house and cottage. I fondly remember Christmas gatherings on Longford with your dad leading the singing of Christmas carols around the piano. Sending warm hugs to you and your family.
