Robin Elizabeth Rath

July 8, 1962 - December 6, 2020

Peacefully, on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice, Cobourg, in her 58th year. Beloved daughter of Marlene (nee Bellamy) and the late Elroy Rath. Loving mother of Tara (Joe) Pelow and Kali Morewood. Dear sister of Brian and Mike (Julie). Cherished Aunt of Josh and Lucas. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Robin had a smile that could light up a room, a love for music, and a bucket list of beaches she longed to walk on. Spending time with family and friends was a favourite pastime. She belonged to several community organizations, and especially enjoyed playing with The Colborne Library Ukulele Band, and helping to organize Music in the Park. The family would like to thank the nurses, Doctors and support staff at NHH and the staff at Ed's House for their wonderful care. A private service will take place. Donations to Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre or Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

So sorry for your families loss. I met Robin almost 3 years ago to the day when she started working with us at Synovos. When meeting her for the first time in New York I could tell she would have a successful career with the company. She was a very hard working, caring, and STRONG woman with a smile that could light up a room. She spoke highly of her daughters with pride. She faced many challenges when coming on and was instrumental in launching our Canada operations. She even continued to help her co-workers even after her battle started which is a testament to her caring personality. Robin will be dearly missed by her co-workers at Synovos. Rest easy Robin and fly high.
