Mary Jane Edwards

December 31, 1969 - December 31, 1969

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Mary Jane Edwards has gone to be with her Lord on Sunday November 15, 2020 after a long struggle with cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by family at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg at the age of 70 years.
Mom was born in Toronto, Ontario and settled in the Colborne area. She touched many hearts and will be warmly remembered for her outgoing personality. She loved to sing, dance, attend church and spend time with her family. Mom was not born into privilege and suffered many hardships. She always led with her heart and was always ready to lend a hand or give to those in need. She loved to laugh and gave the best hugs that always made you feel better. We will miss her beautiful voice, smile and the love she showed to all of us. She took reverence in her faith and is now an angel in heaven.
Loving mother to Deanna Edwards, Colin (Jackie) Granger, Kevin (Karen) Granger, Ann Marie (Wade) Callahan and Kimberly (John) Freeman. Fondly remembered by ex-husbands Larry La Rochelle and Lewis Granger.
Devoted grandmother to Katherine, Jessica (Patrick) & Natasha (Saren) Edwards, Logan Granger, Alissa & Kalum Callahan and Lane & Dallas Granger. Special great grandmother of Marlee, Aria & Carter. Dear sister to Roger Edwards. Predeceased by brother David Parsons, sister Eileen Edwards, sister Sheila Bellamy and father Walter Edwards. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
We thank her amazing caregivers who made Mom’s journey as comfortable as possible.
A wake and service will be held, by invitation only, followed by a private graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, Grafton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre.
