Teresa Martha McNeill

March 10, 1951 - October 5, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa on October 5th at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. She fought bravely with the diagnosis of thyroid cancer for 5 weeks before succumbing to this terrible disease.

Teresa was an employee of Hudson’s Bay Company for 11 years. She loved to travel and cook, always looking for that next great recipe. She had just recently retired and had planned to spend her retirement years exploring Ontario with our mom.

Teresa leaves behind her mother Olive Lemanczyk, brother Paul and his wife Annette and sister Katrina and her husband Paul. She is loved by her nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Liam, Donald, Vanessa and John-Paul. Predeceased by her 2 fathers Alec Lemanczyk and William McNeill.

Teresa’s wishes were to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.

We will miss you Teresa. Your death leaves a big void in our lives but we find comfort in knowing you are no longer in terrible pain.

Chris, Greg, Derek & Jason. xoxo

Teresa was a considerate, brave, intelligent and incredibly funny woman. She considered taking the time to help those around her to be a privilege rather than a burden, and she will be missed greatly.

My condolences to the entire family & Teresa's friends. I am a friend of Katrina's, but never met or knew Teresa; however, the loving way she is talked about by her sister, she was special & loved. May your hearts be comforted during this time, and may you all draw closer as you journey through this valley in life.

What a sad thing to happen to me as her sister we had ups and downs but great times by the Lake in Oakville when we celebrated my Birthday every yr, she brought plates and cutlery and her finest, lunches and then we would go for coffee to Mr. Beans and then shop. I will miss her big time. She was and still is my sister and I always loved her no matter what.

Vanessa Mann - October 10, 2020

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of my beloved Aunt Teresa. For most of my life growing up it seemed like she was always there. Her and my mom would be having a cuppa tea when I walked in the door from school, she bought me my very first Barbie, I had my first sleep over at her place, she got me interested in my favourite book series as a child that I would love into adolescence and was there as I tried to decipher Jean-Jacques Rousseau for my philosophy class at U of T. Later on in my life she would help me decide what outfits to wear to wear for job interviews.....like I said she was always there as I grew up into an adult. I would not be the person I am today without those experiences and I am already feeling a void. I love you and miss you Aunty Teresa (Aunty Treeza) Vanessa

We were devastated to receive news of Teresa’s passing and write this with a heavy heart. Teresa had a big personality, was full of life and we treasure fond happy memories of the time she spent with us in Australia. These memories were relived when we spent time with her on our visit to Canada a few years ago. Her happy smile, her enthusiasm and strength will remain with us forever and know that she will be sorely missed by her family, friends and everyone that knew her. We send our sincere condolences to our family and share their pain for the loss of our niece. Ray, Pearl and Family

To Friends & Family of Teresa, I feel your pain. We grew with Teresa being luke a sister. Always happy, laughing & fun. Guess we kind of lost touch over the years everyone is so busy it seems. So her passing is a huge shock. Let's not lose touch, be well & safe. See you after COVID-19. Love Andrew Budden & Jenny.

Pat & Gayle Murphy - October 7, 2020

This is very sad. We remember Teresa from younger days in the 1970s/80s and her premature passing is a tragedy. Sincere condolences to all of her family, especially to Olive.
