Pierre and family. We just found out about Mario’s passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences. Both you and Mario were always so kind to us and our children. They still speak of their adventures harvesting canola. He will be dearly missed.

Well Mario, it has been a couple months since you left us. Everywhere I look, I see your 'stamp' on the farm. You were the best equipment operator and missed so much right now. It is taking 3 guys to do your one job!! You would have loved the tractor tribute on your way 'home'! We all miss your big smile, kind and generous heart and sharing your farming knowledge. Pierre is doing ok although no one will ever be able to take your place. FYI- the fall crops are coming off and wheat is planted! RIP my dear friend. Hugs and love. Jayne

Pierre, sorry for the loss of your brother and life long partner in farming. Chris fondly remembers Mario inviting Chris as a young teenager to "Come and try out my new combine", a JD 8820 at the time. What a thrill for Chris. Rest in peace Mario.

Dear Pierre, we are so saddened by Mario's passing. He was a wonderful friend and neighbour, always smiling and joking when we visited. He was ever ready to help and offer advice. He will certainly be missed by his many friends.

words can hardly come close to defining Mario ,full of life ,full of knowledge,and full of generousity. there was not one aspect of agriculture he was not versed on. His addititions to the land ,to the community and to his close family will never be forgotten.Sincere condolences to Pierre and never forget Marios classic jokes they still make me laugh.

Pierre, it was very sad news when i heard Mario had passed away. My most sincere condolences to you and your family & friends. I always enjoyed coming for visits and hearing the stories & jokes. Our memories of Mario go back to the early 1980's. He and Pierre showed up at the farm with a silver-plated cup for our new baby. We will miss waving to him going by the house in spring and fall. He was a gentleman.

Another tough loss in Cramahe Township: Mario Benedetti. Took a drive into the hills of Cramahe tonight to look over the rolling fields Mario and his family know intimately. Many of them. Mario knew them topographically, agriculturally - and intrinsically: here his grand piano of artistry and passion. Mario would fight like a tiger to see this resource recognized. When the Benedettis bought our farm they in a sense adopted me as well whether they wanted to or not. As a teenager both Pierre and Mario took me under their wing and allowed me to still be a part of the farm, many nights watching the grain dryer with Pierre or combining with Mario or moving equipment. Many in the community were not supportive at this time and these men and their family provided more for me than I can ever repay. Rest In Peace Mario

A great stand up Solid man who will be greatly missed.

I am so saddened to hear about my dear friend Mario's passing. He was always a true friend to our family and will be greatly missed. The kids grew up knowing him as a solid friend from when they stopped by on Halloween when they were little and Momma Benedetti gave them huge chocolate bars and Italian cheese to when he would stop by for a visit and bring pizza. He would never come empty handed. We had many laughs and serious conversations about life and family and how to be a good human being. When he would be combining across the street from our house we would sometimes hop the fence and he would give us a ride for while we visited. He would still get the work done....always working. I would tell him he needed to slow down and enjoy life and he would say "this is all I know". Pokie, Andre & I will miss him deeply. RIP Super Mario xoxox
