Peacefully with his family by his side at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Saturday August 8th 2020 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Joanne Lauder (nee Evans). Loving father of Tracy Cruz (Michael) and Michael. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Meg and Kayden. Dear brother of Billy (Carlene), Ken (Shirley), Butch (Lilly) and Bobby (Monica). Brother-in-law of Terry (Doreen), Dana (Michael), Chris (Miriam) and the late Mathew, Dean and Ken. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private family gathering will be held. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date. If desired donations may be made to SickKids Foundation.

Well Mac things weren’t supposed to turn out this way I’m missing you already we had good times together we were good friends right from the 70s you were my dance teacher you could fix anything . I remember Mac the disc jockey, Mac the Machinist Mac the mechanic Mac the guy who taught me how to dance the night before going out on my first date with Susie. It has taken a couple of days for me to process the passing of our beloved brother Don. It's the phone call that I had hoped would never come. One that meant we would have to say goodbye to one of the four people that have meant so much to me growing up and throughout my entire life. The Lauder Boys are so much more than five guys with character. As a set, they have their own gravitational pull. Donny was a big part of that. He has touched our hearts over the years and we have all been blessed to share our time with him. Monica and I send our deepest sympathy to Joanne who has been his devoted soul mate for over five decades. My condolences to the kids and grand kids. I know he meant so much to you all. Yes, it hurts to say goodbye, so I will simply say this.......Rest In Peace my brother. We will see you again in the next life. In the meantime, give Ma and Pa a hug for us.
