How our paths would cross many times over the years. I first met Madeline about 30 yrs ago as a co-op student. Then years later when I started at the Cobourg Hospital, you helped train me when I was begining my career in Nursing and we worked along side each other for many years. Then you moved to the maintenance department just before the new hospital was built and worked there until retirement. And now years later our paths cross again as my 2 oldest girls have become close friends with Rachel's 2 oldest girls through Cadets over the last few years. May you rest in peace and your family forever have fond memories.

Lee May - July 16, 2020

I’m sorry to hear of Grant’s passing. As a teenager and young adult, sitting at his table drinking mugs of bottomless coffee, he would talk with me, debate and teach me with a level of respect that no other “adults” offered me in those days. He was the first of my friends' fathers to say “You can drop the Mister and just call me, Grant” by years. I’ll always appreciate what he taught me and how he did it with such decency. My thoughts are with Grant’s family and friends at this time.

I will affectionately remember Grant as a man who loved to tinker in his garage, and planning another renovation project. All while never completing the ones he started. I am going to miss my weekend visits, and the lively political debates that we would engage in while sitting around the kitchen table, and drinking copious amounts of tea. Grant loved to host the family reunions, as he loved nothing more than to be with family, despite the gruffness he may have exhibited. His next greatest love aside from family, was his faithful pet companion Champ. Grant, you were more than a cousin, I considered you a brother. I am really going to miss you.❤️
