Darren was a friend for many years. When I think back to my childhood, especially the early teen years, I see his face. We lost touch over the last 10 years, but the news of his passing hit me hard nonetheless. It's unfortunate that we're not able to come together to say good-bye one last time. Makes this all that much tougher.

My thoughts go out to Bill, Jennifer and Darren's entire family in this difficult time. Darren and his family were an important part of my life growing up and I will always be thankful for all the great times I spent with Darren. Regretfully we grew apart over the years but Darren will always considered a best friend to me. My childhood would not have been the same with out him in my life. I miss you and I am sure someday we will see each other again. R.I.P
