Passed away peacefully at Streamway Villa, Cobourg on Tuesday May 5th, 2020 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Lewis McBride. Loving mother of the late sons Everett and Doug and daughter Marilyn Jones. Loving mother of Carol Newton (Tim), Diana Cooney (Shawn Hollings), Sharon McKnight (Jim), Sheila Carr (Mike) and Cindy Armstrong (Phil). Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Eileen will be greatly missed by her sister Leta Rayner and is pre-deceased by her brothers Elwood Calbery and Carl Calbery (Pat). She will be sadly missed by all. At the request of Eileen a private family graveside service will be held at Centreton Cemetery at a later date. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Carol and Tim, Only met your mum maybe three times, Carol, but what I remember of her was a lovely and caring lady. When folks leave Us, there is a mighty big hole left in our hearts and life....my great - grandma always would tell to , "fill that hole with love and memories. Fill it FULL! God's comfort to you.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to my Aunts, Carol, Diana, Sharon & Sheila who to this day I cannot tell apart & Cindy. In this challenging time, as we cannot come together as one, we are all together in our hearts as we remember all the loving moments with Grandma McBride. She was a strong spirited woman with a calming presence. She always made time for her grandchildren with unlimited hugs & hot chocolate on those cold winter days. Sorry for the loss of your mom , No matter how old they are or the circumstances it's always difficult to lose our parents. I had not seen her in years but have lots of memories of both your mom & your Dad, from late night euchre games, to family picnics in the yard . Again my condolences to your families
