Dear Doris, Dean, Gary, Sharon and Linda: News of Bob’s passing came as a shock, and yet I knew it could happen. Still, it made me feel incredibly sad to think I won’t see him again until we meet in glory. Our sincere condolences. I know you all will be feeling sad. I was so glad to see Dean’s tribute and Linda’s. So true he was a great missionary, preacher, editor, and excelled in everything. I know Bill would want to his goodbyes too. So much shared ministry and friendship. We will be communicating again but I especial pray for Doris. Losing a life partner takes time to deal with but I know the God of all comfort will be close to you Doris, and I know He will give you strength and peace. So glad you were able to be with him. Love, Peter and Lillian

Wayne & Doreen Halliwell - May 7, 2020

We mourn the passing of a great man of God. Condolences to Doris and family. Bob was a long time friend. While editor of the Pentecostal Testimony he gave me a "press" pass which enabled me to observe and photograph close up, many rituals of the various religious faiths in Asia. He was a great missionary and leaves a great legacy. But we will meet again!

Josephine Riley - May 7, 2020

Pastor Dean: Your Dad's passing came as no surprise to the family. I trust that God will continue to comfort the family and you will draw strength from His love knowing that you will see your dad again. May God be with you and the family in this time of mourning.

Robert or 'BOB" as we knew him is now rejoicing in Heaven so my heart goes out to the family. I pray that the Lord will give you the peace and comfort you need at this time. Lots of memories to talk about and enjoy with friends and families. He will be greatly missed as I always enjoyed hearing him speak and tell his stories.

Bob & Shirley Taitinger - May 6, 2020

One of our greats is now with the Lord. Saddened (for us) to say the least. A faithful, hard working servant that was a blessing to scores of Africans, and graciously found a continuing ministry at home. He passed that passion unto his children. Our prayers are for you, Doris, and all your extended family.

Harold Bowman - May 6, 2020

Condolences to the family, with precious memories.

Allan Carlson - May 6, 2020

Joanne and I wish to express our sincere condolences to Doris and all the family. Whenever we met either in Kenya or in Canada, Bob was always warm, hospitable, gracious, exuding the love of Jesus. Words cannot express our full appreciation for Bob, Doris and their family.

Mark and Evelyn Scarr, Ottawa - May 6, 2020

Evelyn and I wish to express our deepest sympathies to Doris and the entire Skinner family. We are most grateful for the kingdom impact that Robert (Bob) made over the years and the many lives he influenced. I clearly remember the day he drove from Toronto to Peterbough to share with the Africa Prayer Group that I was leading at what was known then as E.P.B.C. That was back in the early 1980's. He gave of his time and shared openly with us. He will be missed! Heaven wins. Mark and Evelyn Scarr, Woodvale Pentecostal Church (Ottawa)

Our sincere condolences to Sis. Skinner, and all the family. Though we didn't know him personally, we remember his writings in the Testimony, and his steady Christian winsomeness. An example of faithful servanthood, as is needed in our world these days. May the Lord comfort your hearts with His love and care.

Doris, and family- my sincerest condolences to you at the passing of Bob. Bob was such a lovely man. I was grateful to have the opportunity to correspond with him over the years. He was an encourager and so willing to help be a resource to me at the PAOC head office when I featured your family in our Missions and Kids 'heroes of the faith' segments. What a wonderful and godly legacy your family has- Bob's life enriched so many lives. May the Lord bless you and keep you. With much love and prayers. Jodey

Doris, Gary, Dean, Sharon and dear Linda and family, We send our thoughts and our prayers to you on the death of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. We remember your dad well from our MGT days and your parents' work with Missions in the PAOC when we were just starting out in ministry. They were both an encouragement and role models for us, as they were for many. Know that Bob's legacy lives on in your lives and the lives of your children and grandchildren. "Your faithfulness continues through all generations..." Ps. 119:90

Cal Bombay - May 6, 2020

I cannot quite express my personal sense of loss at the news of Bob's passing into God's presence. Deep sorrow, mixed with a little jealousy that "he got there before me". A Friend, colleague in ministry and missions the man with the ever-present smile. I loved the man and will love the memories. Both Mary and I held Bob in very high regard. May God fill the void in all the lives which called him 'friend'.

Al Saunders - May 6, 2020

He has left a great legacy for all to follow as he followed and served the Lord so faithfully for so many years. Blessings and our continued prayers, Al & Audrey Saunders
