I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ian. Growing up across the street I remember many happy fun filled days with the McPhee family. We had a special connection especially when our parents passed away and we continued to care for their properties as they would have liked. I recall Ian spending countless hours on the front hedge to make it just the way his Dad always did. It looked so good afterwards. Mel had a special way of cutting his lawn and Ian was able to do exactly the same. Mel and I would often be cutting our lawns at the same time and would wave to each other. I always knew if I needed assistance that the McPhee family would be there in an instant. It was comforting growing up with such thoughtful, loving, kind neighbours . I cherish the memories. Thank you Ian for providing that stability and love to all you crossed paths with. You will be missed greatly Love and prayers to you all Nancy

I worked with Ian from 2003 to 2008 at the Goodyear Bowmanville location, and he was one of nicest people that I had an opportunity to work with. Very sad to see him go, condolences to his family .

Mary and I offer our sincere condolences to all the McPhee family at this time of sorrow. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ian since he started at Goodyear. Ian was cheerful and dedicated to the many positions he held at Goodyear and was always willing to take on any task he was given, above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions. We always a a few laughs on the golf course when we got together over the last few years. He will greatly missed by all family and friends.

I'm so sorry this happened. Ian and myself shared many adventures , especially in our younger years. I have watched in awe as he took this sickness head on and greatly admired his strength while enduring this horrible disease. I remember Ian as a little one putting on his boots and coming to help my Dad with clearing a culvert on our driveway. He really was a sweet little guy. He grew to be a very kind man.
