Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020, Leslie Ruth Weatherby (nee Pollard) at 72 years of age. Loving wife of Tony Weatherby. Cherished mother of Deane (Elizabeth), Shane (Stacy), Marney Ruth, and Alana (Anita). Devoted grandmother of Emily (Shane), Carson, Tayler, Hunter, Broden, Jackson Leslie, Tori, Blayde, and great grandmother of Silver Leslie. Dear sister of Debbie Oliver (Roy), Vicki Boruck (Andy), and Myles Pollard (Marie). Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ruth Pollard. Also missed by her surrogate family Colleen MacDonald (Bob), Jamie and Jake. Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Thursday, February 6th from 6 to 9 pm. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grafton on Friday, February 7th at 11 am. A reception will follow the Mass on Friday at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre with interment of cremated remains at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial donation to Myeloma Canada.

I am so sorry for your loss, for all our losses actually, I never worked with a better nurse than your Mom, I would have patients wake from surgery and assure me that an angel had been with them when they woke up, it always came back to your mom with her fancy cap! Heaven now has a true angel, and the world is one short!

Tony and family. I was very saddened to read of Leslie's passing. She will be greatly missed. I remember my years working with her at VON. She was a very kind and gentle spirit and able to offer sincere comfort to all those she looked after. I guess god had bigger plans for Leslie's generous and gentle spirit. Find comfort in this. Leslie was the sweetest, kindest person I knew. She was also a very good nurse. I know this for a fact, because she looked after me when I was an inpatient. Her passing is a big loss to the community at large, and to those of us who knew her well. I cannot possibly imagine how it has impacted all of you in her immediate family, whom she loved so much and spoke so fondly of all of the time. God Bless everyone of you. My sincere condolences,

To Leslie's wonderful family,I consider it a true blessing and a wonderful gift that I was able to get to know your mom. She volunteered with us at the Day program for many years, to which I'm so grateful! I so enjoyed our get together's for lunch after her time volunteering had ended.
