Donna Marie Hampe Dumont

July 4, 1938 - December 5, 2019

Passed away December 5, 2019 in Cobourg, Ontario at the age of 81. She was born July 4, 1938 in Eagle River, Ontario to Ernest and Frieda (Hoerndl) Hampe. Donna was an avid collector of people. Profoundly generous with her time, talents, authentic affection and unwavering devotion she curated a diverse and ever growing “family”. She enjoyed and was admired for her knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and culinary talents. A veteran of the service industry she enjoyed careers in the restaurant and resort industries throughout the province of Ontario as well as several countries in Europe. In retirement she volunteered at the Canadian Fire Fighting Museum and the Capital Theatre in Port Hope, Ontario. Like a true Bingo Queen, Donna lived life with presence, joy and in full color. Donna is survived by her sons Doug (Leslie), granddaughter Olivia of Kinderhook, NY; Ken (Izzy), grandchildren Kylie and Ryan of Toronto; Michael (Christine), granddaughters Michelle and Nicole of Manitoba; Robert (Gretchen) of Glenburnie, Ontario; Paul (Cora), grandchild Jordan of British Columbia, daughter Colleen, grandsons Drew, Trent and Adam of Manitoba; brother Norman (Patricia) and sister-in-law Barbara, and brother-in-law, Carl. Additionally are many nieces and nephews Darrin, Lori, Amber, Keith, Sam, Roger, Danny, Carl Jr., Julie and Suzanne; cousins Sheryl, Merilee, Greg, Heather and Vicki Lou. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Rudy Paquet, brother Melvin, sister Margaret (Ernest) and dearest aunt, Doris “Toots” Davies (Don) and sister-in-law, Micki. Per her request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will occur at a future date. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.

Aunt Donna I am so very sad you had to say good-bye and you will be deeply missed. So many wonderful memories and so glad we got to spend a little extra time together this pass summer.
