Passed away peacefully at his home on August 29th, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Mary, and beloved husband of the late Lorna. Loving father of Don Jones (Mary), Berton Jones, Barbara Jones (Don Noseworthy), and the late Deborah Murray. Proud grandfather of Kevin Jones, Steven Jones (Danielle), Jennifer Cuthbert, Jeffrey Murray, Adam Jones (Olivia), Abby Sue Elder (Jacob), Tony Jones (Andi), Wayne Smith (Julie), Valerie Bradford (Ian), and Joel Noseworthy. Remembered by 4 step daughters, Debra Law (Dave), Renee McIvor (Ross McBride), Wanda McIntosh (Tim Neill) and Tammy Robinson, numerous great and great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Dear brother of the late Velma Wilson (the late Paul). A service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 8224 Danforth Rd. W., Cobourg on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 12 p.m., with visitation at the church from 11 a.m. until service time. If desired donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Haukioja and the staff of St. Elizabeth who went above and beyond with their exceptionally compassionate care and professionalism. Amos was a fine man and I am glad to have known him and to have met Mary. He took care of my sewing machines for years! Deepest sympathy.

I still can’t believe Amos is gone. Sorry I could not be there ,I had another funeral to go to here. It was a crazy week I had 3 friends pass away. But I know all of them are back with Heavenly Father. May the Lord bless you at this time. I send my prayers and love.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends as i cannot be at the service sat.Amos was a longtime friend who worked for Sears in Cobourg repairing sewing machines while Vi Keighley was manager, and he repaired my personal machines a number of times.i found him polite and genuine.
