(Retired school custodian and long-time supporter of Cobourg Legion Minor Softball) Suddenly as a result of a fatal fire at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Saturday April 27th, 2019 in his 64th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Passmore (nee Guiry). Loving father of Lisa (Ryan). Cherished grandfather of Lydia, Jordon and Brianna. Dear brother of Doug (Joan) and John (Diane) and uncle of Dawn, Sandy and Graham (Sara). Lovingly remembered by his friends Larry & Ginny, Paddy, Debbie, Vern & Marilyn, Brian & Janet and joined with Wayne. Hello Lisa: Sorry this is so late just heard of Dennis's passing. Very difficult for you losing both parents so close to each other. Ran into your dad on my way back from PEI. Had a nice chat going back to when Jo Anne and I stood up for them at city hall and the fun we had when they lived with us after they got married. Dear Lisa, I have known your dad since 1967. The day we met he appointed himself the position of being my older brother. Not sure why because I already had an older brother, nonetheless he played that role for the last 52 years. Your dad is a wonderful man. Has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. I'd like to offer my condolences to you and your family on your loss. I was at Camborne school when Mr. Passmore was a custodian there. He was a very positive man, always smiling and joking around with the students. I will never forgotten his kind nature and all of his positivity, such a great guy, and I am so thankful I was able to have met him.
My condolences to Dennis' family on this very sad event. I met Dennis and Kate through our church-Christ the Servant. He was a very charismatic and caring man. WE lost touch when he moved near Ottawa, but met up again when he returned to Cobourg. He endured many struggles, but always had a smile and hug when we met. May he rest in peace with his beloved Kate. We will miss him.

Very sorry for your loss. I am a past coworker of Kate and would often be with Kate and Dennis. We would party at their home and spend new years togethe. A few months ago Dennis came to legion village to see me. Please know Dennis was a good man. A very caring individual connie legion village
