Peacefully on Saturday April 7th at Streamway Villa, surrounded by his family. Much loved husband of Joane. Adored father and father-in-law of Steven and Kay. Doting Papa to Riley and Shabana, Bobby and Ava. Yossel will be greatly missed by his beloved surrogate daughter, Anne Fox and her son Dustin, loving sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Irwin and their family. With his easy, outgoing manner and delightfully wry sense of humour, Joe brought a ray of light into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. The world will be a less sunny place with his passing. A heartfelt thank you to Orlando Polanco and the wonderful staff at Streamway Villa for the exceptional care that Joe received from these special people. We are forever grateful for their warmth and kindness. A Celebration of Life, in Joe’s honour, will take place on Sunday, April 14th from 2-5 pm at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King Street East, Cobourg. Please enter through east entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Northumberland Humane Society. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.

Remembering all the good times and conversations with your dad. He was a special guy. Love to you both.
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Joe. I have fond memories of Joe and I meeting occasionally while strolling in town, and he always stopped to talk, to ask how I am, what I was up to, and he always made who he was talking to his focus. Reminds me so much of my dad. His smile and sunny disposition will truly be missed.

Steve and Kay, deepest sympathy for your loss. May you find comfort in fond memories shared with friends. They will always be with you. Kindest regardsDiane
Joe was a wonderful man (and I can see his self-deprecating moue and hear the witty riposte he would have as a response)! Joe saw and supported the potential for greater good and achievement in people and our communities. Fun and fun-loving, kind and clever, he was a joy to know. Thank you, Joe — and Joane — for choosing Northumberland County. Condolences to you all.Mandy (Martin)
Joe was a friend of my husband, Stan from the Dutch Oven many years ago. We always enjoyed meeting Joe, usually at the grocery store and have a little chat. I offer you my deepest sympathy.

Joane & Family: We are so sorry at Joe's passing. He was a flamboyant Bridge Player. Everyone enjoyed Tops or Bottoms when playing against him. Joe and I (Bev) came first in Peterborough in a world-wide Bridge Contest. He was a Happy Camper! So long Joe. I'll miss you. Sincerely.... Bev & Jan Howard....
