Tyler Evan Garrett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tyler Evan Garrett at his home on Majestic Hills, Northumberland County. He leaves behind his mother Heather (Rolly) and father Earl (Bonnie) and will be profoundly missed by his sisters Pamela, Aimee (Philippe) and Melanie (Tim).

Tyler was an adored Uncle to his nieces and nephews Clara, Gage, Ethan, Kayden, Tate, Cassie, Olivia and Anthony.

Tyler leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He touched the lives of so many with his big smile and gentle soul. Family was everything to Tyler.

Tyler suffered for many years with Schizophrenia and despite his mental illness was always able to keep a positive attitude and a great sense of humour. Tyler had a kind heart and was always cracking jokes and loved to make others smile and laugh. He enjoyed going for car rides, trips to Little Lake and the Cottage, eating out, playing crazy 8 count down, hot tubs, French toast and family trips.

Tyler was a community member of the ACT team where he enjoyed floor hockey, baseball and other social activities. An informal Gathering of Friends will take place on Monday, July 9 from noon to 2:30 p.m. in the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King Street East, Cobourg. 

In honour of Tyler, the family is asking for donations to be made to the NHH Foundation - Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Northumberland.
