John Evelyn Reid

November 12, 1930 - December 29, 2017

John E. Reid (12/11/1930-29/12/2017) of Colborne, lately a resident of Warkworth Place LTC, passed away peacefully on Friday December 29th. He is deeply missed by his beloved and loving wife Felicity, daughters Jane (Phillip Mead), Alison (Cheryl Izen) and Linda (Jeff Beeston), grandchildren Melissa (Olaf Comes), PJ Mead (Rachael), Andrew, Alexandra and Katherine Beeston and great-grandchildren Aidan and Grace Comes. He will be remembered with affection by his step-children Mike (Cindy), Anne (Jeff Kitchen), Jane (Laurie Kimber), Jack Sidnell (Amica Hilton) and by Allison Greene, as well as grandchildren Andrew, Roy and Allison Sidnell, Sula and Ginger Greene, Charlotte and Sophie Kimber. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephew and his sister-in-law Joyce Reid in England.
A celebration of John’s long and fulfilling life will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King St. West, Colborne, Ontario K0K 1S0 on Saturday, January 13th. Visitation 1:00-2:00 pm, followed by a service and reception. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial donations to Northumberland Community Care, Colborne or to Therapeutic Paws of Canada (www.tpoc.ca).
