Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Friday Nov 17 five days before her 88th birthday after a short battle with cancer. Doreen was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hilda Smith of Baltimore. She was married to Gordon for 59 years and the sister of Ron (June) of Garden Hill and the late Warren. She was the much loved aunt of Cheryl of Sundre Alberta, the late Brad and Alayna, Joanne (Gabriel) of Newmarket , Greg (Danielle) of Mons Belgium, Michelle (Ron) of Jordan Station, and a special aunt to the West family; Gary (Julie Ann) of Baltimore, Judi Peers (Dave) of Peterborough, John (Kathy) of Baltimore, Jim (Jamie) of Cobourg, Ray (Kelly Hopps) of Baltimore, Robert (Joanne) of Cobourg, and David (Reefa McDoom) of Cobourg. Doreen was the unofficial historian of Baltimore and her books and artwork will keep her memory alive. A private graveside service was held at Baltimore United Church Cemetery on Nov 22.
