Joseph Gerrard Bulger

On November 4th, 2017, Joseph (Joe) Bulger passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital at the age of 79 surrounded by his family.  Loving son of the late Vincent and Margaret Bulger (nee Corkery) and beloved husband of the late Adeline Bulger (nee Reinhart) for54 years, Joe is survived by his children Terry (Mary), Kim (Russell), Pam (Dave), Dan (Lorraine) and David (Carrie).  Much cherished by his nine grandchildren Melanie, Ryan, Thomas, Justin, Mathew, Emily, Sophie, Shea, & Aidan and two great grandchildren Sammy and Emmett. Dear brother of the late James, Margaret, Francis (Hank), and Catherine. Joe was unbelievably blessed by many nieces, nephews, friends at Kelly’s, dedicated members of the Knight’s of Columbus and his Ajijic buddies. Joe’s sense of humor, love of debate, voracious reading appetite, entrepreneurial spirit, interest in current events, love of specific musical genres resulted in many memorable conversations. His generosity and support for those he cared about, the many holiday recollections including ski trips, some very ill fated camping trips, many southern excursions, love for the Toronto Blue Jays are some of the memories he’ll be dearly remembered for.  Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E, Cobourg on Wednesday November 8, from 4-8 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s Church (corner of Division St. and University Ave. Cobourg)  on Thursday, November 9th at 10:00 am.
