Robert John Schultz

It is with deep sadness that the family of Bob Schultz announces his passing on February 21st, 2017 after a brief illness.  For 58 years, he was the beloved husband of the late Norma.  He was a wonderful father to Ruth (Brad Shehan), Jim and Mary.  The very proud grandfather to John and Emma.  Bob taught English and theatre arts at Cobourg East High School (CCI) for twenty-five years, where he enjoyed coaching football and basketball.  He loved directing plays and musicals at the school, as well as for Northumberland Players.  Bob had many diversified interests and hobbies.  He enjoyed woodworking, reading everything from Shakespeare to Agatha Christie, all sports, playing piano, travelling with Norma and above all his lifetime love of golf.  Bob will be missed by his many good friends and colleagues.  Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27th, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg.  A memorial service will take place in the chapel on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow at Kelly’s hotel, 2nd floor.  Donations to the Lung Association or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
