John Richard Roskell Attley

Passed away peacefully at home in Cobourg, Ontario surrounded by his family, on January 25, 2017 at the age of 88.  Beloved and devoted husband of 63 years to Barbara.  Brother of Joan (deceased) and David.  Loving father of Clare (Dr. Wayne Tanner), Martha (Dr. Peter Campbell), Mark (Lynn), and Timothy (Angela).  Cherished Poppa of Stephanie (Brad), James, Richard (Julia), John, William, Katy, Thomas (deceased), Daniel, George (deceased), Victoria, Ben, Henry and Lily.  Proud great-grandfather to Noah, Jack (Attley) Molly & Jack (Campbell). John was born and raised in Northamptonshire, England and eventually settled in Canada in 1976. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all those he touched with his life. We will remember his sense of humour and "Poppaisms".  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cobourg (corner of Division and University).
