A dedicated family man, passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, in his 80th year. Son of the late Rene and Viola. Beloved husband of high school sweetheart the late Jean. Loving father of Pamela (Doug), Rob (Andrea), and Catherine (Ray). Cherished grandfather of Alex, Dennis, Matthew H., Matthew G., Natalie and Isabella. Dear great grandfather of Adelyn, Yasmina and Elaine. Gerald will be missed by his aunt Marie Marsh and his extended family. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 10-11:30 am at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and Interment at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grafton. Gerald worked hard for his family and is now forever with the Lord and his loving wife. In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque to the St. Vincent de Paul, Grafton will be gratefully accepted.
