Roy Bangs

Roy passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2016 at the age of 84 at his home in Camborne, Ontario.  Beloved husband of Yvonne Bangs for 58 years. Loving father to Sarah (Robert) and Jan (Amanda). Dear Poppa to Paris, Peyton, Savanna and Willow. Roy was a loving family man who enjoyed nature, the countryside, poetry, teaching at schools in 4 different countries, cryptic crosswords, soccer, travelling, hiking, golf and music. He loved to sing to his grandchildren. Roy spent 10 years with the Senior Actifest program, assisting seniors to enjoy the thrill of competition and fellowship. His years in Eddystone and Camborne brought him happiness. He will be greatly missed. We love you Dad. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to all of the Staff and Volunteers at CCAC, Saint Elizabeth, Palliative Care unit , Dr. Nearing and Hospice for their care and support.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eddystone Baptist Church. Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Wednesday, December 28th, from 1-2 pm., followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.  Interment at Eddystone Baptist Church Cemetery in the Spring.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
